Pfizer is investing $200 million in the development of a new 175-square-foot biologics manufacturing plant in Andover, MA. This new Facility will enable Pfizer to provide jobs to 75 new employees and increase manufacturing capacity by about 40%. This new five story facility will have 5 independent manufacturing suites to support Pfizer’s highly complex and diverse biologics research effort. The facility will employ a flexible design to enable next generation manufacturing strategies, leveraging state of the art single-use bioreactors and disposable process technologies. This new facility is expected to be fully operational by January 2019.
